Growing up in both Malaysia and Australia, I developed multilingual skills, including English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Malay. I completed my high school education in Australia before earning my undergraduate degree and becoming a registered physiotherapist in 2007. Early in my career, I was drawn to neurological rehabilitation, which led me to pursue a Master of Clinical Rehabilitation (Neurological Physiotherapy) through Flinders University. This qualification allowed me to become a Titled Neurological Physiotherapist with the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working in acute, subacute, and community settings, assisting clients with a wide range of neurological diagnoses. I have also had the opportunity to train and educate fellow physiotherapists. One of the greatest joys in my career has been the ability to walk alongside individuals, offering my knowledge and skills to help them overcome challenges and achieve their rehabilitation goals. This journey often requires immense courage, especially the courage to take that first step.
